On this page I'll be keeping links to publications that I've been involved with.
Expert .NET Delivery with NAnt and CruiseControl.NET
This book was published in May 2005 and was the culmination of a lot of real life work on build and deploy practices which I then generalised into 'best practice'. From the jacket:
"At first glance, building and deploying applications seem simple enough. But in fact, difficult releases without any confidence or processes backing them are very common. Integration and management of a new deployment can be laborious and fraught with risk. So as team size and volume of projects grow, management becomes more difficult and risk more pronounced.
This book is a guide to the implementation of good processes in a .NET environment. Author Marc Holmes focuses on actual implementation, and details patterns and anti-patterns to watch out for. He also provides a practical and in-depth look at NAnt and CruiseControl.NET, and solutions to common problem scenarios."
It was slashdotted, an has 5-star reviews on Amazon.co.uk and 4.5-star reviews on Amazon.com, so mustn't grumble! There are some nice comments in the blogosphere too: here, here, here and even buried in here.
Delivering End-to-End High Productivity Computing
This paper was published in Architecture Journal Issue 11 and covered a generalised architecture for the construction of application support around scientific/engineering long-running computation tasks.
Technologies used here were primarily Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003, and Worflow Foundation as the application control layer.

An A-Z Guide to Being an Architect
This paper was published in Architecture Journal Issue 15 and was a lighthearted look at the softer side of an architect’s role.
