Upcoming WPF applications for Vista

The new SeeWindowsVista site is a showcase for Vista applications being constructed with WPF. Have a click around for some cool applications.

In particular, click 'Connecting People' and then 'British Library' to see an outstanding visualiser for ancient texts. Some of my colleagues at the MTC here in Reading have been working on this so I've been lucky enough to see this for real, and it is outstanding.

Talking of Vista, having just finished a project, I'll be taking the time to install it and Office next week which will be very exciting and hopefully not too alien - office 'ribbons' are scaring me already .. ;)

Steve Lamb - another UK colleague - has blogged about his own Vista installation experiences over the past couple of week and they're worth a read if you're giving Vista a spin. Steve's blog is lso a great resource for security-related questions.
